On the occasion of a complaint, lodged by the environmental organizations, which concerned the mass poisoning of birds of prey in the Nestos’ Straits (February 2012), the Greek Ombudsman examined the report of failure of effective protection of wildlife from the illegal use of poisoned baits.

The 3^rd Meeting of the Project Steering Committee (PSC) of LIFE Natura Themis took place in Chania, on December 5-6, 2016.

The Coordination Office for the Implementation of Environmental Liability (COIEL) [Greek Ministry of Environment and Energy] organized in Athens a Training Seminar on the implementation of environmental liability on November 29-30, 2016.

The project “LIFE Natura Themis” participated in a of the project “LIFE SKYROS BIODIVERSISTY” in Skyros, while a brief presentation of the project and the up-to-date results took place. In addition, information material distributed to all participants.

On Thursday, June 07, 2016, the 1st visit of the project’s auditor Mr G. Mousouris was held in the Exhibition hall of the Natural History Museum of Crete (NHMC), Heraklion (premises in Sophocles Venizelos Avenue, Dermatas Bay)  .

The presentation of LIFE NATURA THEMIS took place on the 19^th of May 2016 in Athens of the Nature Poison Platform Meeting.

We implemented the first part of Action A1 concerning the visiting of the investigating bodies in eastern Crete.
