Abstract: 

The environmental transgression in Greece in the decade 2005-2015 was investigated and solutions were searched for. Greece has a rich legislative – regulatory framework which correctly unleashes both administrative and criminal penalties. However, the reasons for the environmental transgression should be searched for within the actual “pathogenesis” in the mechanisms which impose the penalties.
