Abstract: 

The Greek Ombudsman (GO), as an independent authority, mediates in environmental protection and environmental responsibility issues based on citizens’ complaints. The presentation will address the problems and prospects of citizen’s participation in decision making as well as the GO’s proposals regarding citizens’ participation in environment planning and monitoring policies.
