Abstract: 

The environmental protection and the preservation of biodiversity in the Greek legal order, according to the provisions of Council Directive 92/43/EEC and their implementation in the national legislation with reference to the relevant case law of ECJ on Greek state’s failure to protect the Natura2000 habitat of Caretta-caretta sea turtles as priority species.
