On Friday, 21 July 2017, was celebrated the completion of the twinning of the Chania Bar Association with the Marseilles Bar Association.

The event was attended by Chief Deputy of the Region of Crete, Mr. Apostolos Voulgarakis, the mayor of Chania, Mr. Tasos Vamvoukas, the Administrative Council of the Chania Bar Association and more than 25 lawyersof Chania area.

The Bar Associaton of Marseilles was represented by its President, Mrs Maillet Genevieve. This was a historic moment for the Bar Association of Chania, and for a commitment to fruitful cooperation between the two Bar Associations with an emphasis on environmental issues!

During the second day of the celebration of twinning, Mrs Maillet Genevieve, was guided by the coordinator of the Environmental Law Observatory of Western Crete, Mrs Maria Maniadaki at the Observatory in Chania, and was briefed on the actions of the LIFE Natura Themis Project.
