The Open University of the Municipality of Thessaloniki, implements a series of lectures on "Development and the Environment" covering a wide range of topics including environmental legislation.
The lectures begin on February 14, 2018 and will run until May 2, 2018. They will take place at the Concert Hall "Billi" (Hippodrome Square, Thessaloniki) every Wednesday at 7.00pm.
During these meetings, the invited speakers will present will present the potential and problems on the harmonization of development and environmental protection, analyzing the contemporary challenges: circular economy, climate change, biodiversity, geodiversity, water management, plastics in the ecosystems, big scale infrastructures, environmental crime, jurisprudence of the Council of State, Contribution of the Ombudsman.
Responsible for the implementation of this specific topic is Mrs Angeliki Kallia-Antoniou, Lawyer, Professor of Environmental Law at the National School of Public Administration, Expert in the Environmental Law of the EU and member of the Project Committee of Experts.
