Specialized scientists from Greece, Cyprus, Bulgaria and other Balkan countries met in Messolonghi in order to discuss vultures’ monitoring and threats in southeast Europe.
The meeting was organized by the Management Body of the Messolonghi Lagoon – Akarnanika Ori on the occasion of the recent rescue of poisoned vultures in the area.
The LIFE Natura Themis project participated in the meeting with an oral presentation entitled: «LIFE Natura Themis: Awareness project on wildlife crime prosecution and environmental liability in NATURA 2000 areas in Crete». Printed material of the project was distributed to the participants.
