The first announcement of the International Conference of LIFE Natura Themis project which will take place in Athens, 23-25 November 2018 is out.
The Conference is entitled “International Perspectives on Preventing Wild Life Crime” and it is organized by the Hellenic Society for the Protection of Nature. It will take place at the ELECTRA PALACE ATHENS hotel. Invited speakers of the Conference include acknowledged specialists on Environmental Law from all around Europe.
The subject of the Conference concerns inter alia the implementation of the Environmental Liability Directive (2004/35 / EC), the social implications of environmental degradation, the economic assessment of environmental damage, existing legislation at national and European level to protect wildlife, the effectiveness of the prosecution of environmental crime in Greece and other countries (Malta, Hungary, etc.), as well as the contribution of environmental NGOs to the protection of the environment.
The Conference will be held in English and it is open to the public free of charge. A registration is required for the optimal organization of the event.
