On February 18, 2020, the 8th Project Steering Committee (PSC) of LIFE Natura Themis project took place in the Exhibition Halls of the UoC – Natural History Museum of Crete (NHMC).

At the first part of the meeting, the Coordinators of project Beneficiaries presented the progress of project’s actions for the period May 2019-January 2020, they discussed financial and administrative issues that arouse during this period and submitted their proposals for the smooth completion of all necessary activities and actions in September 2020.

On February 19, 2020, the 3rd Meeting of the Project Steering Committee (PSC) and the Committee of Experts (ComExp) of the “LIFE Natura Themis” project took place in Heraklion (Exhibition Halls of Natural History Museum of Crete).

The members of the ComExp were informed about the progress of the project and its actions during the period March 2018-January 2020 and were asked to express their opinion about the progress and the quality of the LIFE Natura Themis project. All of them agreed on project’s high value and successful implementation, and highlighted the positive footprint at all levels that has been achieved so far.

On the first part of the meeting, the conversation focused in the recent changes of environmental law in national and European level and in the results of the last surveys of the project.

During the second part the main subject was the final National Conference. The members of the ComExp proposed to be organized in a more modern structure. This opinion, finally, was acceptable by all participants.

They confirmed once again their support and their willingness to work for the further dissemination of its results and the utilization of the findings that have emerged.
