An important networking meeting with ENPE (European Network Of Prosecutors For The Environment) and LIFE ENPE (LIFE14 GIE/UK000043 - https://www.environmentalprosecutors.eu/eu-life-project) took place in the premises of the University of Crete-Natural History Museum of Crete (UoC-NHMC) in Heraklion on 25-26 June 2018.
ENPE is a national Non-Governmental Organization with members including prosecutors from 25 European countries as well as one Brazilian representative as an observer. ΕΝΡΕ is based in Brussels and is currently implementing the project LIFE ENPE, with which LIFE Natura Themis has signed a declaration of cooperation.
Among the topics discussed was the future cooperation of the projects’ partners and the joint organization of the upcoming ENPE Annual Conference entitled “Protecting habitats and endangered species in Europe through tackling environmental crime”. The Conference is co-organized by ENPE, UoC-NHMC, the European Union Network for the Implementation and Enforcement of Environmental Law (IMPEL) and the project LIFE Reason for Hope, on 23 and 24 October 2018, in Heraklion.
The Conference will take place in the Exhibition Hall of the NHMC. More updates on the conference will be available in the beginning of September 2018.
