Hellenic Society for the Protection of Nature, in the framework of LIFE Natura Themis project, organizes in Athens, 23-25 ​​November 2018, an International Conference entitled "International Perspectives on the Prevention of Wild Life Crime". The Congress is addressed to Prosecutors, Judges, Lawyers, Lawyers, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), officers of the relevant services directly involved in environmental crime, environmental damage and rehabilitation (Police, Fire Department, etc.). The subject of the Conference concerns inter alia the implementation of the Environmental Liability Directive (2004/35 / EC), the social implications of environmental degradation, the economic assessment of environmental damage, existing legislation at national and European level to protect wildlife, the effectiveness of the prosecution of environmental crime in Greece and other countries (Malta, Hungary, etc.), as well as the contribution of environmental NGOs to the protection of the environment.
